Student shines in CA exam : The Tribune India

Amritsar: Sehajpreet Singh from Sri Guru Harkrishan Public Secondary School, GT Road, ranked first in Amritsar in the recently declared CA exams with the highest score (517/800). Sehajpreet completed his Class XII in 2018. He said he hoped for a good grade and credited his teachers, parents and older brother Gaurav, who was also an alumnus of the SGHP school. Two other students from the school – Raman Bajaj (fourth row) and Simran Kaur – passed the exam. The school staff congratulated the students and wished them good luck for the future.

Revised registration calendar

Professor (Dr) Amit Kauts, Coordinator, BEd Common Entrance Test and Centralized Counseling, said that bearing in mind Saturday and Sunday after the last date (i.e. July 15) for l registration for the BEd course, the advisory committee has unanimously decided to open the portal for registration for the said course until July 20 without late fees. But the registration process must be completed by July 20 until 1 p.m. (including financial transactions). There will be no further extension of dates. Professor Kauts also said that after July 20, the portal will also be open for registration from July 21 to 26 with a late fee of Rs 1,500 regardless of student categories. He said the admissions committee has already prepared to hold the CET in 44 centers in 12 head offices. Furthermore, he added that the CET for BEd admissions for the 2022-23 session will take place on July 31 (Sunday) as already scheduled. The DAV school has a new principal

Dr. Pallavi Sethi took over the leadership of DAV Public School. Neelam Kamra, Area Officer, Punjab Zone – A, Dr. Pushpinder Walia, Principal of the school and Dr. Neera Sharma, former Principal of DAV Public School, welcomed the new Principal. Dr. Sethi was the former Deputy Principal of BCM Higher Secondary School, Ludhiana. She holds a master’s degree in English, psychology and business management and a doctorate in English. She was a CBSE ASL (Assessment of Speaking and Listening) coordinator. She is a resource person for the Center of Excellence, CBSE (Chandigarh and Panchkula), for Principals and Teachers Capacity Building Programme. She began her teaching career in 1993. With 29 years of experience in the field of education, she has pioneered new pedagogies to implement deep learning goals throughout the education system. She said she would strive to empower teachers and students to achieve momentous achievements and reach greater heights and expressed her commitment to working in partnership with parents.
