SALT LAKE CITY, September 30, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Instructure today announced the lineup for its annual conference, InstructureCon 2021. This year’s virtual event for educators and edtech users will take place on Tuesday, October 7 and be presented in a global format to support participants in different time zones. The free professional learning event features speakers and clients including will.i.am, Angela Duckworth, Dr. Knatokie Ford, and Lauren Bush Lauren. Instructure partners in attendance include AWS, Microsoft and Google. The annual conference attracts thousands of attendees representing educators, administrators and technologists sharing edtech tips, solutions and ideas. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, Instructure hosted its very first virtual conference last year. Over 20,000 participants attended, with special presentations from inspiring figures from the world of education, including Sal Khan and LeVar Burton. This year’s event will be held online again to protect the safety of the thousands of educators and school professionals in attendance. To make the experience even more engaging and facilitate interactions, Instructure will offer a centralized conferencing platform where attendees can do everything from watching speeches to chatting with colleagues.
Participants will hear from Instructure executives and education experts, including the CEO Steve daly, Product manager Mitch benson, and Head of Customer Experience Melissa Loblé. Between main sessions, attendees can attend networking sessions or product presentations to learn about the latest and greatest solutions from the Instructure learning platform.
Nearly 50 Instructure partners will organize virtual booths for participants to stop and discover their tools and services. Participants can video and chat with partner representatives, as well as schedule follow-up conversations. Adobe’s Platinum and Gold Sponsors at InSpace will be offering breakout sessions throughout the conference on topics such as “Why You Need Data Literacy in Your Classroom” from Tableau to “Creating an Experience attractive online learning ‘from Cambridge University and Drieam.

William will talk about her work to support disadvantaged youth in their STEM activities in class and after class through her i.am.angel foundation. He has been recognized with seven Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, a CLIO Award, the World Economic Forum’s Crystal Award, and an Honorary Fellowship from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). He is a member of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Advisory Board of the World Economic Forum and the Global Artificial Intelligence Action Alliance which monitors the impact of technology on society, people and work.
Dr Knatokie Ford discuss the use of educational technologies to foster engaging learning experiences and how to make student success more equitable. She is the founder and CEO of Fly Sci Enterprise. Biomedical scientist and former senior White House policy adviser, Dr Ford today harnesses the power of storytelling to promote social change, especially in science, technology, engineering and math ( STEM). Previously, she was AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow at OSTP from 2012 to 2014 with the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST). Dr. Ford completed her doctorate in experimental pathology at Harvard University.
Lauren Bush Lauren will talk about the founding of the FEED project and its impact on providing school meals to underprivileged children around the world. In 2004 Lauren traveled with the United Nations World Food Program to central America, Asia, and Africa as a student spokesperson and was touched by the realities of poverty and hunger around the world. Lauren conceptualized the idea of FEED by designing the first FEED 1 bag that, when purchased, feeds a child in school for a year. Since then, FEED has helped deliver more than 120 million meals around the world through nonprofit partners around the world and in the United States.
Angela Duckworth will feature in a new Instructure client story about the application of her adolescent psychology research to Gravel lab, and the deployment of Gravel lab 101 to high school students via Canvas. She is the founder and CEO of Character Lab. She is also Professor Rosa Lee and Egbert Chang at University of Pennsylvania, Co-Director of the Penn-Wharton Behavior Change for Good Initiative Faculty and Co-Director of the Wharton People Analytics Faculty.
